Charging Instructions

Charging Methods

Ensure a seamless flying experience by fully charging your Intelligent Flight Battery before each use. It is recommended that you use DJI's dedicated charging devices, including DJI Avata 2 Two-Way Charging Hub and DJI 65W Portable Charger. Alternatively, you can also rely on other chargers that support the USB PD fast charging protocol. Both DJI Avata 2 Two-Way Charging Hub and DJI 65W Portable Charger are optional accessories. For detailed instructions on how to charge your device, refer to the following content:

Precautions for Batteries

1. After the battery is fully charged and remains idle for three days, the auto-discharge function is triggered, causing the battery to automatically discharge to 96% of the battery level, and approximately 60% when idle for nine days. It is normal to feel moderate heat from the battery while it is discharging.

2. Fully charge the battery at least once every three months to maintain the battery health. Leaving the battery idle for an extended period will impact its performance, or even result in permanent damage.

3. For safety purposes, keep the battery level at a low power level in transit. Before transportation, it is recommended that you discharge the battery to 30% or lower.

First Use

Attaching and Detaching the Propellers

There are two types of DJI Avata 2 propellers, which are designed to spin in different directions (CW and CCW). Marks are used to indicate which propellers should be attached to which motors. Make sure to match the propellers and motors by following the instructions.

Safe Flight

To ensure a pleasant experience with DJI Avata 2, in addition to being proficient in operating your drone, you also need to familiarize yourself with the regulations and policies of your destination (including flight restrictions, drone logistics and transportation requirements, and flight filing and registration procedures) and maintain on-site flight safety.

Regulations and Policies

• Laws and regulations regarding drones can vary widely depending on location. You must ensure that your drone flights are conducted safely and in accordance with the regulations of your destination. Check the regulations, policies and flight restriction zones of your destination in advance.

Flight Environments

1. Always fly in open areas and keep your drone within visual line of sight. For safety reasons, you should never fly above people, animals, or moving vehicles.

2. The maximum flight altitude of the aircraft is 500m. For details about maximum flight distance, refer to the official specifications. Beginner pilots should not be able to fly very far.

Device Checklist

1. Intact propellers: Check the propellers to ensure that they are installed in place and free of damage.

2. In-place components: Remove the gimbal protector first and then power on the drone, and ensure that the battery is installed in place.

3. Self-check upon power-on: After the device is powered on and connected to the app, pay attention to the self-check result in the app. If there are any warnings shown in the app, follow on-screen instructions and fly the drone after no warnings are detected.
