Join us for our first Drone Regulation Workshop

Join us on Saturday 17th May at our Birmingham store for our first drone regulation workshop.

Whether you’re brand new to drones or just want to sharpen your understanding of drone laws, this exclusive in-person training course is designed to take your flying confidence to new heights.

DJI and Hasselblad have partnered with Geeksvana, the trusted voice in the drone community, to bring you a hands-on, beginner-friendly experience that demystifies the complex world of drone regulations. Hosted by Sean Hickey, founder of Geeksvana and a prominent YouTuber known for his clear, real-world explanations of drone rules, this course turns legislation into language you can actually understand and apply.

The session features a detailed presentation by Sean, who has spent years breaking down drone law for his growing online audience. You’ll benefit from his practical insights, hard-earned knowledge, and ability to translate legal jargon into simple, actionable guidance.

But that’s not all — in collaboration with the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC), the course also includes direct input from the the UK police. Learn what law enforcement expects from drone pilots, how to handle encounters with police while flying, and how to stay on the right side of the rules at all times.

This unique workshop doesn’t just tick boxes — it equips you with the knowledge and confidence you need to fly safely, legally, and respectfully in the UK’s shared airspace.

C Labels are Coming to the UK? Why should you care?

ICurrently, the UK does not officially recognise these labels, but change is on the horizon. By 2026, the UK government plans to adopt them, making it easier for drone pilots to operate in congested areas without additional certification. For example, a DJI Air 3S (C1-rated) will be able to fly in A1 airspace—over people—without requiring special permissions.
